RH Forest School Fun!

What a fantastic morning we had in Forest School!

Keeping active and improving our environment was the name of the game, and we certainly achieved it – all while having a ton of fun.

.We started by greeting our special lime tree, then played a lively game of "1, 2, 3, Come to Me!" Afterwards, the children learned some valuable skills, practising moving sticks and objects bigger than their arms by dragging them carefully. For larger items, we worked in pairs, emphasising safety discussions throughout.

Our budding conservationists also began preparing our windflower patch by removing invasive grasses, other groups continued the construction of our dead hedge.  Some started  learning how to use a billhook and mallet and we will carry on wiht these activities next session.   The children worked hard as teams blowing bubbles, finding worms and creating in the mud kitchen, some explored moving pine cones using stands and guttering and creating using the loose parts.

After all that hard work, everyone enjoyed a well-deserved break with warm squash and biscuits, followed by an energetic game of "Stick, Stick, Fire" before changing for the classroom. What a brilliant way to learn and play!
