Forest Fun in the Sun!
What a delightful morning we had at Forest School!
The sun was shining, and the crisp autumn air set the perfect backdrop for our adventures. This week, the children kicked off their session with a fun twist on hide and seek—“1, 2, 3, where are you?” It was heart warming to see everyone remember their safety skills around the fire pit, ensuring a secure environment for all.
The morning was filled with curiosity and creativity! Some children teamed up with Mrs. K to craft conker spiders using a palm drill, while others got their hands dirty in the mud kitchen. We had budding birdwatchers making feeders to hang in the trees, and imaginative builders constructing masterpieces with loose parts like planks, tyres, and crates.
The excitement didn’t stop there! Children explored the water station with pumps and guttering, hunted for worms in our digging area, and created beautiful leaf confetti using hole-punching tools. We also introduced the slack line, which many bravely tried out!
After such a busy morning, we came together as a team to tidy up before enjoying a snack and story in the bell tent. This week’s tale was “The Leaf Thief,” sparking even more discussions about nature.
Remember, these activities will be available next week, so if your child missed out this time, there’s always another chance to join in the fun! We can’t wait to see what adventures await us next time!
